I'll add more to this thread once I get around to the other aspects of detailing. It's tough with a full-time job.

BTW, this is my own personal car. It's lightly modded w/ a K04, software, FMIC, injectors, a little bit of this, and a little bit of that.

Looking forward to using the M105/M205 combo on it.

I've heard some people say to let the car run while you're washing it just to make sure nothing shorts out. What do you guys think about that?

                  Thanks everyone.

I've read different ways to detail an engine. IMO, if you don't saturate "critical" areas, you should be fine.

Critical areas would be electrical junctions, intake, and any cavities that would retain water. For those areas, an air compressor would be useful.

                    Engine bay looks great!

Good points on the electrical. When I clean an engine, I try to not directly spray anything that may not like to get wet. These are engines and exposed to the elements as the rest of the vehicle, so one doesn't need to panic if they do get it wet.

I only know of one vehicle that doesn't play well with electronics getting wet from reading on other sites, GM ignition systems don't like to get wet, so with our Yukon, I am careful!

                    Good show!

What's up R Evolution1!? Nice B7 (or is it a B8)? You on any Audi related forums?

My plan is to heavily document this detail...we'll see. I need to work on my photography skills and start using my tripod.

There was one other Audi owner by the name of APRTuned or something like that, but he switched over to a Honda hatch.

Its a B7 S-Line, ready to do a complete write-up on a newly acquired B6 Avant. Also have a C5 in the stable
