Re: 1968 MG Midget Detail pt1

Great looking car!! Color looks great, did you have to do any restoration to the car?
Not too much, it is my first classic so I wanted something that wasnt too hard! It was mainly a bit of tidying up and a few parts that were missing for the model year, the main ones being the chrome strips on the hood and on either side (approx 50 - 60 holes drilled across the car!!) Heart in mouth moment

I only completed the side strips recently having had them for about 18 months

It had a new soft top which was custom made by a guy who is a trimmer for Jaguar (my Dad works there)

It does have a few mods to help it keep up with modern traffic: Sports header/exhaust, K&N filter, Big valve head (from an MG Metro). It all amounts to about 80hp (up from 65), every little helps.

    Thanks again
    Mark

Very cool little car Mark! It appears to be in very good condition!

P.S. I love your brick driveway too!

Thanks for the compliment, the driveway is actually a solid block of coloured, imprinted concrete!!
