nice work, some great results, great correction i take it the paint was a bit softer than the audi norm then.
It isn't soft!!
This paint took a lot out of me, the process I said was the "general" thing but still I used M105 one some parts with a wool, sanded a couple of RIDS and so on.
Great transformation from a swirled-out, scratched up mess to something that probably looks better than when it was on the showroom floor.
Question: Relative to other car's you've worked on, what do you think about the paint on this car? Was it easy to work on or difficult?
Thanks Mike
Compared to other vehicle I would say difficult, not as easy to work like a Honda. Scratches are difficult to remove but you can't go to aggressive because you get extreme marring

Paint systems by the major paint manufactures are always changing and evolving so on this forum we don't encourage making blanket statements like,
"All Honda's have hard paint"
or
"All Honda's have soft paint"
Because it's just not that simple, that said, most, not all but most of the newer Audi's I've worked on had paint that instead of saying it was hard, it would be more accurate to say it wasn't very polishable.
SMAT products may change all this for all paint systems however, only time will tell. But so far, our new SMAT products actually make it enjoyable to work on harder paint systems.
Thanks for the follow-up...
