I always thought that weather stripping is glued on. This is not the case? You can pull it off and it more or less snaps back on?

      Mike
I discovered the trunk is the only weather stripping that is glued. Everything else is slide on with notches and a clip on the ends. The stripping was hard work, harder than I thought.

Again , great job and a lot of work.

The kids are worse! Find paper plates with ketchup on it. Now I pile the junk in his '67 Dodge and he's figuring it out. LOL

When you cleaned your seats, how did you rinse them?
I sprayed the seats (not soaked), let it sit a moment, get my microfiber in my bucket of warm water, soaked it pretty good, scrubbed the area I sprayed, rinsed my MF, soaked some soap/dirt up, rinsed, soaked MF spread it on clean area, extracted with shop vac (works better than my little upright extractor with upholstery attachment), re rinsed and extracted again. Sounds like a lot but really, spray, wash, rinse, extract, rinse, extract again.

Yeah, the wife loved the color and I like Tony Stewart, wasn't bought for that reason, but transformed into it. I loved to park in Lowes .

But Johnson? He's a good racer, found a picture of look alike's and MSN put him with George Michael . Our house is anti Johnson makes for good rivalry with a buddy at work, he likes him and we also like Kyle Busch (sorry) so, we have fun with our rivalries! I sent this picture to my buddy when he worked overtime. Our families spent Sunday together for Bristol.

Yeah, now have to get a red car, but I do use Old Spice!

LOL, actually the wife and I bought a bunch of misc stuff from the Tony Stewart site for major money off and they sent those, the last pair, they fit me without socks so I wear them a lot, I bought them for the wife but they are too big but she wears them occasionally. I also got some T.S. flip flops from the orange days......

I do like to bump draft when I drive! LOL.

Thank you for the rest for your comments, it was hard work, but looks better than when we bought it (it was nasty, just got off of the truck from being railed it looked like).

Right now I was going to finish it as yesterday inbetween interior, I clayed it, doing some correction with SwirlX and UC. I was also pinning Tim's eyes (not ears) back with tips for the rotary and right now.....

IT'S FREAKIN RAINING with no wax on the car and no garage!

Oh well, I can get up during the week and get it done and do the correcting later when I get me some more M105, that stuff works great!

Haha, very true, but I personally would go with Tony. Home Depot just isn't doing to hot.

You know I was wondering why Meguiar's doesn't get into sponsorship of teams? I'm sure there are a couple teams in the series that have protential for sponsorship from a high market company like this. I could imagine what kind of awsome paint scheme could be brought to life for some of the products...

Hey that's pretty good Nappers. I would love to go to Bristol here in a year or two. Currently just go to Michigan in June. Like you, no Kyle Buschwacker aloud in my house either. I've been a Johnson fan since his rookie busch days and haven't looked back. He was also the first driver I ever met face to face. Then a month later I won a contest at a local fair I guess you can call it that had 2 Hot Passes for the garage to hang with Jimmie and Chad and the rest of the crew. So not to shabby.

            SWEET!!!

Kudos on the disassembly! (I'm going to say that's used correctly...)

            Gotta love that OCD thing!

Great work Aaron! I did the same when I had to take the carpet out, good to see though I wasn't the only one with a screw left over, lol. I am probably going to need to pull my seats though and do somthing like that. That black stuff is a pain to clean. I sorta cleaned them and bought seat covers, though I don't really like them.

Reminds me though to pull my weatherstripping too. Been planning on it and always forgotten.

              Nice work indeed!

                Hi Nappers,

i have a question for you.

have you used both APC and APC plus?

if so, have you noticed a difference when using it on dashboards, door panels, vinyl, rubber, etc. i know APC plus is lower foaming

                  Re: '05 Neon Interior.....

I used APC for the engine bay and APC+ for interior plastics and fabric.

The APC+ has little to no foaming, hardly knew it was cleaning except the rinse bucket that turned brown and the seats getting clean along with the interior panels.

APC foams quite a bit on the engine.

I mix mine 7:1, 28oz of water (to the normal fill line if regular diluting) and add product to about the first ring on the neck, gives you 4 more oz's of product .

Great stuff, glad I got both.

Best part is, it's not sticky afterward like normal cleaners and at 7:1, it's strong enough for bigger stuff and not too strong for little stuff.

                      Wow crazy stuff!!

I have to do that about twice a year because of all the sand/dust from going the desert and driving around for 8 hours with the windows down. It gets really nasty and disgusting, but its a blast.

                      Nice job Aaron!!

When I saw the "before" pictures the only phrase that crossed my mind was "you got to be kidding". How could you drive in such a dirty environment??
You did a fantastic job bringing the interior back to life. Just wonder for how long will it stay looking like this??
Great post!! I bet I can learn a lot from it.

Aaron, you're a lot like me in that you take stuff apart to clean it. I've always done that if able to because you can do such a better job than just wiping it down. Great job on the Neon. I'm jealous!!

I knew I should have grabbed that tire lever. Yeah so I tried taking out my vents by hand and ended up cracking the trim thingy as well as the clips.

Any ideas on how I can fix this?
