    John Deere Detail

    Hello everyone,

i really like my John Deere riding lawnmower. It has 214 hours on it and it runs great. Today i decided to give it a detail. This lawn mower gets abused when its used. We use it to cut the 5 acres we own and it has a lot of wear and tear on it. The deck is full of grass clumps and the paint is extremly oxidized. I turned 3 pads green.

    Process:

    1. Gold Class Car Wash Shampoo & Conditioner
    2. Smooth Surface Clay Kit
    3. Ultimate Compound
    4. SwirlX
    5. Gold Class Liquid Wax

    Other Products used:

#39 - Heavy Duty Vinyl Cleaner
    #40 - Vinyl & Rubber Cleaner/Conditioner
    All Purpose Cleaner
Hot Shine High Gloss Tire Spray
PlastX Clear Plastic Cleaner & Polish

    Befores:

    Very Dirty:

    Very Dull:

    Faded Trim:

Afters: Its a lot better, but i was pressed for time and didnt get to do everything i wanted

    It started to rain

    thanks for looking!

Good work! I only have one concern if whether the tire dressing will allow the trimmed grass to stick to it at all? Let us know how that works.

I once put swirls in my paint just to see what it looked like.

          I don't always detail cars, but when I do, I prefer Meguiar's.
          Remove swirls my friends.

                      Tuck...

The mower looks great, although not what I thought it would be when I read the title. Glad to see someone else care for their mower, my neighbors and girlfriend think I am nuts for washing and waxing our mowers.

Question I have is, I have a 125 that gets a fair amount of use. I only wash it with GC and I have used ICE on the hood because it is AVS and did not want to put a regular wax on it. Did you use the Ultimate Compound, Swirl X, and GC liquid on the AVS or just the painted surfaces?

5 acres? How long does that take? I hope that thing has a beverage holder!
If its fast, loud, and runs on a flammable liquid...count me in.

I used it on the painted surfaces ( green parts) and then used M39 and M40 on the seat and back plastic trim

so i used paint care products on everything except the black trim and seat.

i also did the wheels as well with the above process

It takes about two and a half to three hours. And it does have a beverage holder.
