Re: Six days of polishing "The General's B25"

Awesome, just awesome. As a WWII aviation buff [have been since the mid 50's], it brought a tear to my eye to see that B25 looking so buff. Now a B17. Throw in a P-51 and I will apply for a job with your detailing team. Gotta let my heart stop beating so fast now....

Great job once again! You always seem to tackle the big ones.

We return next week to take the polish job to an even higher level!!! The wings have been removed from the B-25. Now we can flip them over and get the under side NICE!

I'm curious about that, too. How many gallons of metal polish did you use on the plane?

I'd love to be able to do something like that some day.

You know I had the figures down somewhere but can't find them right now.

Aluminum polish goes along way. When we first started we were using too much polish. We have the process down really good now

I just started on an AT-6 TEXAN!! The aircraft is completely in pieces so a picture is impossible. .

Here is a picture from 1943 of a couple of AT-6s.
