    Black Pontiac Grand AM Detail

    Hello everyone,

Last night a good friend of mine called me and asked if i could detail his car. Its a black 2003 Pontiac Grand AM. I have detailed this car in the past and knew how hard the paint was. I was able to get rid of most of the swirls but not all of them, around 80%. The goal was a good thorough wash, a fine clay, and bring the paint back to life as it had a little lack of shine. i started at 7:00 am and just finished it at around 5:30 pm

    Process:

Gold Class Car Wash Shampoo & Conditioner
    Smooth Surface Clay Kit
    Last Touch Spray Detailer
    Ultimate Compound- hood only
    SwirlX- 2 passes by hand,
    #7 - Show Car Glaze
    #21 - Synthetic Sealant 2.0 - 2 coats
    Gold Class Endurance High Gloss
    Quik Wheel Detailer

    Interior:

    All Purpose Cleaner
Quik Out Carpet & Upholstery Cleaner
    Quik Interior Detailer Interior Wipes
    Supreme Shine Protectant
    NXT Generation Glass Cleaner

Holy cow man, it's time for a G110. I can't imagine polishing a car by hand anymore haha.

The last time I did that was in 2004 with my Ranger and original ScratchX. I ordered my G100 not long after that.

Now I work tough spots or isolated stuff by hand, but reach for either my G110, FLEX 3401, or Makita 98% of the time when I want to remove swirls or scratches. It's enough work doing it with a machine, I can't imagine going for my end results by hand anymore

Im sure the G110 would make things much faster and easier. I am probably going to get it this summer for my eighteenth birthday. i actually dont mind working by hand, it does take a lot of time but the end result is worth it. But Swirl X and Ultimate Compound make things so much easier. I definitly dedided i was getting the G110 this summer as it took 3 days to buff out my truck by hand with Swirl X. With the G110 it probably would have been shorter.

No probably, it would have been...and easier to boot.

Trust me, been there, done that. Once I got the G110 I have never looked back... it makes it tons easier, and more time effective.

Great work on the Grand Am. That's a lot of work by hand. You will be so happy once you get the G110.
