  • 1998 Mercedes Benz C230

This is my sister's car and it has been in out family since mile 1. Now at over 240K It needs a lot of attention. I used about 2/3 of a bottle of Mirror Glaze 9 on this car and cleaned the yellow foam pad three times! Before that it was a 2 hour deal just to clay the car and I used up all of my clay! This was also my first real use of my Vaper Polisher I bought from a Automotive Sherwin-Williams in Escondido. The guy that worked there was the T/A in my autobody class at my college and told me this polisher was a good one to start with, minus the fact that is weighs a Ton! But enough talk, here's the pics!

These are the "Before" Pics. I used my dad's camera and wasnt quite sure ho to use it. Hindsight, I should've taken more close up pics.

And these are the "after" pics. I am quite pleased with the results. But the second I get my tax refund I will ditch the 2 ton Vaper and get the Meguiars DA polisher! Penny for your thoughts anyone?

My good buddy has a 2000 C230 Kompressor sport. Fantastically fun car! My boss also has a 98' C230 EXACTLY like that one. Very good cars.

Hi Robby, Yes it is. The motor just got put in this week, it should be on the road in a few weeks. I CAN'T WAIT! It's so fun to drive and everyone loves it. Here's a pic of the engine.

Very well done! What did you use on wheels? Wheel brightener? It cleans wheels the best, when you need that cleaning power. I use it from time to time.
By the way, how is the car running? 240k mi and still running, huh? This proves me once again not to even bother the big three. I'm not feeding those unions, no way!!!

A man after my own heart! I hate the unions too! LOL

The car runs great! The only complaint I have about this car are two radio deck buttons are comming off, but still function, and the drivers-side tail lamp assembly keeps blowing the brake light bulb. Other than those tiny little traits, the car runs solid and strong thanks to regular maintenance.

I didnt use wheel brightener, just elbow grease.
