Fellow MOL member Vanduse1 and I teamed up to polish his beautiful Lexus IS250. I was very impressed with the color - black base with blue metal flake. It looks black in the shade and sparkles blue in the sun. The car has been well cared for and was in great shape for a daily driver. Even with the best care, the swirls, RIDS, and water spots are inevitable on a daily driver.
After power washing with a Karcher power washer and claying with a Smooth Surface Clay Kit, we took a closer look at the paint:

We decided to try M205 with a PC and polishing pad @ speed 6 as our first test. This combo worked really well, removing 95% of the defects. Only the RIDS remained.
We then tested the rotary with a polishing pad @1500 RPM and M205 and this did the trick! However it left some holograming, so we followed that up with the PC and a finishing pad @ speed 5 with M205.
Vanduse1 proved to be a natural with the PC (this was his first time using it). I lead with the rotary and he followed with the PC. Here's the final results:

We achieve a swirl-free finish that left this beauty looking amazing.
Sorry we didn't get more pics, we had some that just didn't turn out well.
This was our first time using M205 and we were both very impressed with its versatility. It has enough cutting power to remove moderate swirls and RIDS yet finishes up like M80.
We cleaned the wheels with APC, All Wheel Cleaner, and then finished up with Cleaner Wax.
Thanks for looking
