  • Detail: Fire Department Vechicle (Pictures)

We took this out to get some supplies and parts for various things around the department. I only had my stuff because I wanted to was my own truck, but unfortunately I did not get that opportunity. But almost as good, I good to wash another vehicle. This was my first detail with my new Detailer Line Products. All I have to say is WOW!! I really enjoyed using the products, and they worked very well!! Although I was wondering, when I use APC on black rubber or vinyl it always dries with this white looking stuff behind, which dull the apperance. Does anyone know what the problem is?

    Process

    Wash:

    Hyper-Wash 5 gal:1 oz
    Wash Brush

    Dry:
California Water Blade(Windows only, due to seeing a video with scratching problems)
    Meguiars Water Magnet (Works Great!!)

    Wheels/Tire:
    Super Degreaser 10:1
    Brush
Dressed with either Hyper Dressing 1:1 or ASD

    Glass:
    Meguiars Glass Cleaner 10:1
    Washcloth
    Microfiber Drying Towel

    Trim:
    ASD
    Terrytowel

    Before:

    After:

This was the only wheel to get Hyper Dressing 1:1, it was nice work a low shine, but I wanted high shine.

    ASD applied to the trim.

ASD applied to the rest of the wheels for a nice high gloss shine!!

Nice streak free clean windows courtsey of Meguiars Glass Cleaner 10:1!!

    ASD applied different tire.

ASD also applied to trim on the rear bumper.

Again, I was wondering, when I use APC on black rubber or vinyl it always dries with this white looking stuff behind, which dull the apperance. Does anyone know what the problem is?

All in all, I really enjoyed using these new products and I think Hyper Wash cleaned very well, along with all of the other products. I am going to recomend to my Chief that we buy Hyper Wash, as it has a low dilution ratio and looks great!!

    Thanks for looking!!

    Hey Carfire,

glad to see you got to use your New Detailer Line products and they were for a good use as the detail you did looks fantastic.

Im not sure about the APc problem you are having?

    DID you dilute APC?

The only thing i can think of is it just isnt dressed and it looks really clean but the trim is faded and dull and then the application of ASD brought them back to life.
Sorry i am not much help but I am sure others will chime in

But your detail still turned out terrific, that Detailer line glass Cleaner left nice streak free results

Anyways, Good Job and Good luck with all your products!

      Thanks Tuck.
Just to add some info yes I did dilute the APC in fact it was 10:1
Also I added Hyper Dressing Diluted to either 3:1 or 1:1 I do not remember, and then that dried and it was still faded but not as bad.

I have never really encountered that problem. Is it possible the trim pieces were like that before you used APC on them? This is a bit weird, i have never seen Trim on the exterior of a car that turned whitish unless there was wax on there.

I am sure someone will chime in and help us figure this out

It is actually the trim on the inside too.
I do not think that they were like that before either.

I did not let it dry either.
I sprayed it, and let it soak in for a little bit and then wiped to clean and the flipped over the towel and dried it.

They just got done the other day because we had practice. Although for some reason, even though we used soap, there are these spots randomly around the truck the have dried weird. Kind of like water marking from a chamois not being rung out.

                        Thanks for the compliments.
