  • 06 Jeep Grand Cherokee

A couple of weeks ago, we bought a new to us Jeep Grand Cherokee. We finally traded in the wifes Sebring. Of course the wife drives the Mazda. I get the Jeep. Well it had to be "Meguiaried". Here is the process:

Washed 2 buckets with grit guards. Shampoo plus

Dried using the absorber, and a marine water magnet and a auto water magnet. Then a once over with the California drying towel.

Clayed using c-2000 mild. Last touch diluted 1:1 for lube Even clayed exterior glass

    For paint correction
    Did 4 test spots # 80, #83, #105, and I thought I would try one with #151. Went with the #151

For a added layer of protection applied #21v2.0

    Interior
After a complete vacuum, I washed down the interior with Apc diluted 10:1

Shampooed interior seats, carpet and floor mats with Meguiars carpet and upholstory cleaner

    Applied #40 to interior surfaces

Washed windows with Meguiars concentrated glass cleaner and used 2 glass microfibers to apply and remove the product.

    Tires
    Washed with apc

    Applied Hot Shine tire protectorant.

    Exterior trim

Applied All Season Dressing to all trim and wheel wells. Here are the pics.

Thanks for all the compliments. It is appreciated.

So far, Ryan, the wife and I like it a lot. Finally have enough room.

Could not agree with you more, Mike. It only made sense to do the multiple test spots. I was not familiar at all with the Jeeps paint.

The white stuff is, letting #151 haze a bit before I removed it.

The paint did appear to lighten up. I nguess that is because of it being clayed and prepped. Just guessing.

Very nice work! That green shines like no other. I drive an 04 with the black pearl and it needs a good detail.

Great job on that Cherokee. Good to post what you used, my parents have a Cherokee like yours and needs some TLC and a mobile trip to Shady Cove OR may be in the works!
