    BIG TRUCK!

I only had 6-8 inches of room to spare getting this truck in the shop...really made working on the front and back difficult.

    Products and tools used:

    -Gold Class car soap
    -APC
    -APC+
    -Wheel Brightner
    -Hot Rims Chrome polish
    -Hyper Dressing
    -M40
    -Meguiars Glass Cleaner
    -PlastX
    -Last Touch
    -Mild Clay
    -Folex
    -LGM
    -Various brushes
-New DA approved M105 on the rotary with a wool pad
-M205 on the rotary with a foam polishing pad
-M205 on the FLEX 3401 with a finishing pad
    -Wolf Gang DGPS 3.0

It was dark when the truck showed up and I didn't want to let all the heat out of the shop just to take before pics. Prior to washing, the truck was cover in lots of dirt and salt...

I was pretty rushed on time, so pics are not the best.

    Before

    All taped up

Lots of swirls and RIDS, several were to deep to be removed

Tops had some tree sap, a few had etched and stained the clear

    Clay after one panel

    Some afters

The damp looking spot on the carpet was from an air freshener that I had just sprayed.

    Happy customer

    I love the new M105/M205!

    Thanks for looking!

So, Rasky, what are you opinions of 105 and 205 now that you've used them on a couple of vehicles?

          In one word, AWESOME!

People who only have a DA should be very happy with both products. I only tried a small spot with the new M105 on the PC, but it seemed to work very well with a long work time, little to no dust, and no gumming up.

I have a cutting pad, a polishing pad both for the DA and both 2.0 should I use the cutting pad for 105?

Cutting pad is not recommended for the DA- only for rotaries. Some use it with good results, but user beware because it is prone to haze.

brilliant work, that thing is huge. I think M105 with a cutting pad would have to be justified by trying lighter combos first, probably best avoided on soft CC such as honda, and more useful for hard paints such as VAG, etc.

                    That paint looks flawless!

Just curious though, what did you use APC for that you couldn't have used APC+?

                        Hey Rasky,

Excellent job! Aren't the full size trucks a beast to detail!!!

I hope the owner had his BFG Mud Terrains siped as I have had them on several times on different vehicles and they are not fun on ice in the winter. But deep snow...they are awesome!

Thanks! I definitely underestimated the size of it! I think I had 20-22hrs in it.

                              Thanks!

I used APC+ on the tires, wheel wells, and carpets (low foam). I used APC on the door jambs, vinyl, seats, and headliner.

LOL. Yep, that's the tires he has!

Thanks! It was definitely one of the bigger jobs I've done, I prefere working on cars, but trucks do have thier good points.

                              Thanks to everyone else too.
