Customer came to me because he had seen some of my work and wanted me to work on his car, we scheduled for the weekend.
Weather was HORRIBLE!, it was raining the entire weekend, humidity was ~95% and well no sun at all. I think God gave me a gift, when I was done one thing appeared....SUN!
The job was only focused on the exterior, mainly paint correction. I've scheduled him for an interior job in January, that's going to be an extreme makeover.
Products used:
Shampoo Plus
APC
Last Touch
Clay (mild)
M105
M83
M80
M82
M03
M26
Hyper-Dressing
Glass Cleaner Concentrated
Trim Detailer
Hot Shine Tire Gel
As you can see, I used M105/M83/M80/M82 to remove defects. This is because the car has some panel that have been repainted. To be exact the car has been painted in 2 different places, so some panels did respond very nicely to M105 but when I moved on into another part then it would react very differently, it would mar the paint so much. So this was a big challenge, having about 3 types of paint that reacted very differently from one to another.
Also when I cleaned and clayed the paint, I inspected it with the help of my halogen lights and saw this
-Burn through (from previous jobs)
-Clear coat failure
-The trunk lid and roof were the only factory painted parts but you could see that the clear coat was very low, a small section on the trunk lid you could clearly see some fading due to very thin clear coat
-The fog lights needed some polishing, lots of contaminants came from the plastic and it wasn't clear as it should
-Swirls
-Sanding marks (on the hood)
-RIDS
-Water Spots
Seeing this I had to be very careful with my work and product/pad choice.
Let's the the pictures (sorry for some, like I said I had very little sun)

DURING THE PROCESS

LET'S SEE THOSE DEFECTS

After one pass with M105

AFTERS

SOME NICE PICS
