  • Teaser of the Year!

And now with more Megs content than ever!

(went shopping at the local Sherwin Williams Automotive)

Been spending the past few days on this. Have a few more to go yet!

So far I have 300+ pictures and counting and I've barely started polishing.

                      I like:

working late, exotic car, a passion for shine

                      Dislike:

wearing wrist watch and his little sisters shorts while detailing

It was a posed shot. He didn't actually work on the car. He just wanted to drop by and ask questions and see how polishing is actually done as apparently good detailing is extremely rare/impossible to find in Iceland.

As for the working late, well, last night I finished at 11:45 PM and it's been the same all the way along pretty well. I'm exhausted.

As far as Megs products? Well...I guess now 3M Extra Cut could almost be considered a Megs product. I also used Megs Endurance Gel for the tires (fantastic stuff ) as well as a Megs foamed, 5.5" backing plate from the solo kit, as well as the Megs Soft Foam Applicator Pads (no hand waxing on this baby). I also bought a Meguiar's Twisted Wool Pad that I didn't end up needing. The LC Purple Foamed Wool was plenty powerful when combined with Extra Cut. I intended to use M105 on this job but the paint was just too hard for it. On any other car on any other day, M105 would have been perfect and it's a great all-around compound, but for this one Extra Cut was the right choice.
