I'm not sure why either Joe. The same thing happens to my red pictures?
I checked with our Graphics guy and he said that's there's nothing you and I can do about it. I had the same problems with my Blazer, the 1974 Mercedes-Benz and the 1958 Mercedes-Benz... all of these are a deep, dark red color.

Looks like the typical lossy artifacts from JPEG compression. When saving in JPEG format, the compression engine actually throws out information to make the file size smaller. It then 'roughly' calculates what was supposed to be there, but it usually doesn't do a very good job.
Mike might be able to clear this up: Meguiar's Online gallery might compress the file even more to control file sizes on their server.
Just as a side... Every time you open a JPEG file, and then resave it, even though you may not change the compression amount, it recalculates what it can throw away, which makes the file look even worse each time it is opened and resaved.
If your digital camera has the ability, have the camera save the files in TIFF or RAW format (RAW is the best). Be warned! Saving in the formats will take the camera longer to write to memory, and will take up more space.
Saving in these formats will allow you to open, adjust, and save as much as you want until you wish to upload them to the web or the MO gallery. At that point, you would select the JPEG format and choose the amount of compression you feel you can get away with and still have the image look good.
We now return you to your regulary scheduled programming!
That is a very nice grocery-getter you have there. Compliments extended!
To all that asked, yes it is a 1955 Chevrolet nomad. This one has all IROC Z engine trans, runing gear and suspention. It is for sale ( "maybe" ) for $55,000.
That's just one beautiful classic car!!! Not to mention the mirror-shiney paint finish! Great work man! Do you mind if I ask how much did you charge for it? Thanks! Keep it up!
The car was pretty nice to the average person but it had light spiderwebbing in the paint. Two of us cleaned it with final inspection, removed the spider web, waxed it, polished all the chrome and stainless and vacuumed the interior. dressed the tires, polished the rims, and wiped down the engine in just under 2 hours. I charged the owner $140.00
I was suprized to see how much "red" DACP pulled from the finish!
Very nice work as always! As much as I like detailing high end cars, there is something about detailing classic cars and street rods that is very appealing to me. I am guessing the same applies to you, eh?
You might want to download the free image optimizer from www.xat.com I have never had any fuzzing problems when resizing using that program.
