  • Last detail of my recently sold Accord

#80 Speed Glaze with a polishing pad and NXT with a polishing pad. The front end was repainted about 4-5 years ago, but from the passenger rear door back and driver's door back is all original 1990 paint.

Detailed it on Sunday, put up a flyer with a picture by the mailboxes that afternoon, sold it Monday night. Pretty quick sell for a car with 280,000 miles on it!

    as usual

Looks damn good for 14 year old paint. Isn't it nice when you can sell a car quickly?

Good job Scott, your work always speaks for itself. I've sold a number of cars in my life and one thing I know for sure and that's the quickest sell is the best sell! (No tire kickers wasting your time).

I think I'm going to detail my Blazer and put it up for sell, if I do, I hope it sells just as quickly.

With the compassions and care you show in your details I quite sure the person who bought your car will be satisfied for a long while

Dude...That car was your tool box!!! you just sold
Hope the next one will have a large enough trunk to accommodate your expansion in the business.

Looks good Scott. Will you be detailing the Accord for the new owner? You can tell the car was repainted on the in first picture.

Yeah, they got the match as close as they could, but when you are dealing with (at that time) a nearly 10-year-old car with metallic paint with no set # of coats of paint specified make a perfect match pretty much impossible. That paint's final color is very dependent on the color of the primer underneath.

I doubt I will be detailing it for the new owner. Most people who pay $1200 for a car don't pay to have it detailed. If the front end wasn't messed up slightly and it didn't have hail dents, deteriorating clear coat on the roof and 280,000 actual miles, I probably could have got $2500 for the car.

Mike-A quick sell saved me having to call Auto Trader and paying for an ad.

You might sell your Blazer? On noes!!!!!111

                    Scott,
I thought the slight difference in hue was caused by different rates of fade for the two paints, combined with time. Amazing how much used Honda's sell for.

The color stage of that paint is translucent so it is extremely tough to match. In the shade you can't really tell a difference. BTW, the paint shop that did the work laid that paint down extremely well and the guy is a master at wetsanding and buffing out the paint. Extremely minimal orange peel.

Hondas are a great lease option since they hold their value. Honestly, if I could find a low mile, 1993 2 door EX with a 5 speed, I'd probably snap it up in a heartbeat.
