  • #83 and some good ole' NXT1.0

    Sunday.
My wife went to visit my in-laws. After dropping my wife and baby daughter off, I got back home. It was only 1PM. What to do....hehehehe. Polish my car of course!

I started with #83 on a Rotary and the yellow pad. I finished off with NXT1.0.

    Here are the results:

Damn! The camera tends to show off the spots that I missed out. I'll take care of that dirty mud guard later. Unfortunately, that unsightly gray area just under the doors are from the undercoating.

Oh... and this is my first attempt at using a rotary. My DW443 just died on me and the repair estimate almost costs as much as a brand new machine! So I decided to get a new machine. This time I decided to go Rotary.

My car is 5 years old already. Since the day it drove off the dealer, it's been under the care of Meguiar's.

That is a great looking car. The reflections are tremendous. Great work, way to go.

Awesome Job on that black car.

Nothing wrong with NXT 1.0, have some and still use it

          Thanks!

My NXT1.0 still has 1/10 stuff remaining. I reckon that will still give me around 2 coats before being spent. I can't wait to try NXT2.0.

my NXT 1.0 lasted me 2 or 3 years and theres still a lot of it left..... I use only very little each time so that i'd see theres wax spread on it when i apply on car but not enough that i would see white build up..... makes it easier to wipe off.....

              Looks good in those pics!

You may want to grab some #80 as some finishes will leave minor micro marring or holograms with #83 alone, especially by rotary.

I did a detail not too long ago that in every lighting source save for DIRECT and bright sun looked 100% perfect from #83 alone, but in direct sun you could see VERY light marring that would be easily remedied with a pass of #80.

              Enjoy that new rotary!

Meguiars professional line (mirror glaze) products are very hard to come by here in the Philippines. I had to go straight to the sole distributor to get my #83 and #26. And even they didn't carry #80.

Instead, I use ColorX to take care of any micro-marrings that #83 might have left behind.

The Meguiars products commonly available here are the DCS, NXT, ColorX, ScratchX and the occasional #7.

                          Hi,

Sorry... I just do this as a personal hobby.

But I can recommend a couple of really good detailing shops you can go to if you're interested.
