So I wanted to do something kinda' fun with this little addiction we here call "Car Crazy"
When I got my first toolbox many, many years ago, my dad told me how he would wax his just like his car. Well, I did that a couple times, but that was it. This morning I woke up early and told myself that this would be kinda' fun.
So this is what I did and used:
Dee Snyder's House of Hair (93.3 KDKB)
2 cups of fresh ground Starbucks espresso roast
Quick Detail (original) to clean
Blue Clay on two areas
M83, orange LC, Flex
M80, white LC, Flex
NXT 1.0 applied by hand
Before:

After:
M83

M80

Final:

Forgot to rotate this one!!

this one too!!

I got a lot of strange looks from people passing by as I was setting these shots up! LOL My neighbors think I'm crazy!

Lessons learned:
Craftsman uses a REALLY hard, single stage paint. I probably could have got a much clearer shine with more time and additional steps, but this is a toolbox, geez, do you think I'm crazy????
My wife's honey-do list is more important to some than to others!
Lots of sharp corners/folds can tear up your pads:

It occurred to me as I was doing this that this could be a great "tool" to use for someone just getting into the world of detailing. Especially with buffers, da's and rotaries. It's a lot safer than practicing on a car.
Thanks, I hope you can tell I had a lot of fun doing this!!
