  • Acura TL with M66

    Process:

Mild Clay with Last Touch as lube
    Rotary with M66 Cleaner/Wax
Endurance High Gloss on the tires
Hyper Dressing in the wheel wells
    Detailer line window cleaner
Meguiars terry cloths and microfibers all around

This was only the second time I've done a "basic" detail with M66 on the rotary. I usually would clay and use #21 Synthetic Sealant or Nxt. The M66 gave me that little bit of cut to take care of the light swirling and give this tan car the warm glow it was lacking.

With all the attention on D151 Paint Reconditioning Cream, I thought I would post an example of what M66 can do on a light detail.

As a commentary on the Acura, I LOVED this car! It belongs to my CEO and he let me take it home for the weekend. I would have bought one the next week instead of the 2006 Altima, but with the seat down all the way my head was jammed into the ceiling! I'm 6'4" and tall in the torso- the altima, I've found, is a great car for headroom.

I've never liked tan cars...until I detailed this one. It takes on a warm appearance when it's clean, and still hides the dirt!

Great work! Looks so smooth and shiny. I definately agree that M66 is a great product. Its got a light cutting ability combined with wax. I use it on a DA, haven't tried it on a rotary. I have just recently discovered the awesome power of M66.

Thanks for the kind words. I got the gig because the CEO saw me working on the CFO's Jeep Liberty.

On a side note, the Liberty had some long streaks from what looked like rubber bike handlebars. Scratch-X with a terry cloth and A LOT of passion took that out. I got $40 and first dibs on the executive lunch that day! All for about 45 minutes of work.

It pays to keep your eyes open in the parking lot at work. I think people are more likely to pay you $30-50 for touching something up on a lunch break than a full detail right off the bat. They are also more likely to tell everyone what you did and there's a good chance you'll get more jobs out of it!

nice job pleasing your superiors! hahaha

i'd expect a CEO to be driving a S class or a rolls royce though..... or at least a lexus LS

i guess he really like hondas

The company is about 100 employees, and it's a music software company, so not exactly a huge income-earning business. I'm sure the CEO makes well into the six-figure range, but he's not the type to want to stand out. Knowing him, he would probably rather give a lot of money away than waste it on a depreciating status item. That's why I respect him so much.
