I finally finished it. Used #50 Cleaner/Wax on white gelcoat walls, Cleaner Wax on the lower painted panels and Hot Rims Chrome Polish on the chrome. Applied with G110 and removed by hand after my last maroon cutting pad with MF bonnet flew apart... This is a 1996 Beaver Monterey that I have lived in everyday since buying new in 96.
Sal, I usually do the front cap one day, rear cap another day, one sidewall another day....a lot depends on how it is turning out too. I used the #50 and the next day in the sun it looked very uneven. I assume it's due to my gelcoat not being clearcoated and it oxidizes plus probably does not take the cleaner/wax evenly due to being more porus? Anyway, I topped it with some carnuba wax I had left over and it turned out slick and even.
