  • NXT 2.0 + Gold Kia

I finally got to put NXT 2.0 on our Kia Optima and I am very pleased with how easy it is to apply. It went on a little thick in some places but, it removed...with a little passion. I used a velcro handle to hold an MF applicator and I liked working with it to apply the NXT 2.0.

I was really impressed with what I can only described as "sharpness" of the finish. Gold Class has been replaced.

I sprayed some Hot Shine Tire foam on the tires. From reading what others do with wheel wells and engines I decided to spray the wheel wells. I'm not thrilled with the longevity of this product but, when it's gone I will be moving on to Endurance (I think).

    Process/products (by hand)

    Wash
    Clay
Scratch X (to reduce appearance of some larger scratches)
Interior touch up with Interior Quick Detailer
    Clean Wheels
Hot Shine Tire Foam for tires and wheel wells.
    NXT 2.0

    Here's the results:

Car looks good. I use Hot Shine Tire Coat (Aerosol) sometimes and I agree with it not lasting long. I actually tried the Hot Shine Tire Foam for the first time last week and I wasn't crazy about it. I gave the clean tires a nice coat and after a few hours, they were streaked and looked "runny". I gave then another quick coat and they evened out but it WAY to shiny for my taste. You may want to check out All Season Dressing from the Detailer Line for tires and exterior. It leaves a really nice shine and lasts a long time. That what I use on cars I detail.

Your Kia looks great. The paint looks so smooth. Nice reflections also.

Looks great, NXT 2.0 is a great product. I use to use Hot Tire shine areosole and gel. I now use ASD on tires and wheel wells.

Thanks to everyone for your replies. I might look into ASD given that it got two thumbs up here.
For me the paint feels smoother with NXT 2.0 than with the GC I did initially on this car.
My Wife even noticed how smooth it was when she went to grab the door handle to get into the car this morning.

I had not considered topping NXT with anything but, it might be worth a try in the future. I was just so pleased with the results of NXT alone.

Try Meguiars #26 just on the hood and see what it does for you
