  • Two Durango's

Here are some pics of a couple Durango's I did on Saturday

I taped of half the hood and compounded, polished and waxed after it had been washed and clayed. the upper half is done and you can tell with the clarity of the tree on the carbon fiber hood.

Those look great, nice job! I'll go ahead and be the first to ask, what was your process on each?

That's a lot of real estate to knock out in one day...

            Re: Two Durango's

it was a lot of work. luckily both customers had arranged to have the cars at my house by the night before. i do mobile detailing but it's so much faster when i don't have to load things up and travel. the first durango i washed with gold class, clayed, polished and waxed. i cleaned the tires with a rubber cleaner and dressed them. the hood was the worst part. the owner had tried to transfer his durango emblem from his original hood to his carbon fiber hood. he got some adhesive gunk on there and tried to take it off using comet! so there was quite a bit of hazing and scratches. i used some lite compound, polish and wax (not meguiars stuff, sorry) and it looks as good as new. i went ahead and did the rest of the hood and it turned out nice. the second durango i had fully detailed just a couple of weeks ago, so the owner just wanted it washed. again, i used gold class and then used UQD. the last time he didn't want the engine detailed, but did this time. overall it was about 5-6 hours to do both cars.
