  • Scratched Up Black Maxima PrtII

    Hey everyone,

I finally finished what I started today. I started out today by giving this car a really good wash as it has not been detailed to completion in 2 years. I washed with Hyper Wash. I also presoaked the lower 18 inches around the car with Safe Degreaser with a foaming head to help loosen up some of the road grime that seemed to be stuck to the lower body. The wheels got Wheel Brightener 3:1,the tires and wheel wells where cleaned with Super Degreaser at about a 7:1 ratio. The wheel wells got water based dressing at a 1:1 ratio. I then polished out the entire finish with my g-100 with a 8006 pad and 80 speed glaze. The speed glaze really seemed to liven up the paint a good bit. After the 80 I used 26 as my lsp and it really made the black POP. The interior of this car was very very clean so I gave it a good vaccuuming and cleaned the wo front floor mats with APC plus and an interior brush rinsed with the hose and hung to dry. Tires got dressed x2 with ASD and the windows with detailer line glass cleaner in the spray can.

    Befores:

All cleaned up and ready for clay.

What could this be? Thats right his wife spray painted some baskets in the garage with the car in the drive way. The entire from of the car got a good coating of red over spray. I had to clay the hood 3 times to completely remove the overspray.

    Afters:

The best reflection saved for last.

Thanks for all the kind words everyone. The owners wife stated to me that she knows her husband told eme that she does not wash it but that is the cleanest she has every seen the car before.
