  • 2008 Subaru Forester

    I went to visit my brother this weekend, and took a big bin full o' detailing stuff with me. After all was said & done, he's got a shiny Subaru and I'm afraid I may have turned him into an OCD detailing guy like the rest of us...

    Before, brown tires & dealer-installed swirls:

    And after:

    We washed & clayed, then hit it with good old #80 on the PC.

    Some random deeper scratches got the Scratch-X treatment by hand, then onto NXT 2.0 by PC.

    The tires got some #40, and the black trim got some GC Trim Detailer. The next morning, UQD shined things up for these pics:

    The whole process took about 3 hours with both of us working on it, and we were real pleased with the results. I left some hand-me-down Deep Crystal 1 & 2, Scratch-X, and some other goodies for him to maintain with, and I think they'll be put to good use. Thanks for looking!

              Nice results. Tell him to get rid of those Geolandars quick. They are terrible tires.

                          Back with another detail session; Finally some spring weather here.
                          Spent the day outside in the Driveway with the sun.
                          to start;

                          covered in grime, and dings;
                          welcome to monday morning; walk out to get in the car and find a 4inch vertical door ding just behind the wheel on the drivers side. :icon_frown: was not there saturday when I spent the afternoon washing the car.. only went out to one stop on sunday.. damn you old guy in the mini van.. I even...

                          started by washing and doing the door ding with the scratchX,
                          followed by a Claybar,
                          Got the 7424 out and did Meg cleaner Step 1, and Meg Polish step 2,
                          and then finished off with GoldClass..

                          the results;

                          Just need to give the trim some final touches and it will be all set.
                          All in all a good day. :biggrin:
