Did a good cleanup of my girls 2006 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer truck. I was limited on what I used to clean with. I only had 4 choices...80, 83, 105 and 151.
Process goes as follows.
Wash with Crystal Car Wash
Smooth Surface Clay with Last Touch where needed.
I tested a few different polishes, started with 83 on an LC 5.5 inch orange light cutting pad due to the large amount of swirling on the paint. It did not cut it. Moved on to 151 PRC on the same pad and it seemed to be work great. For grins I also gave 105 a try with the pc, I decided it was too much and went with the 151 since it removed all the swirls after a few passes on speed 5.5.
Once the truck was done, I topped it with NXT via 9006 pad at speed 3.
Wheels were polished with Hot Rims Chrome polish. It was my first time using this product, I actually bought it to test on these wheels. I give it
.
Tires and wheel wells were coated with some sort of Stoners more gloss. I was not impressed with it, I forgot my Hyper Dressing at home and this is what the local store had.
On to everyones favorite part.....pictures
After wash...

A couple of scratches on the door.

Truck all masked up for polishing. Mask across the hood is for the invisible bra.

Fifty Fifty

One more Fifty Fifty

Dirty Wheels

Wheel after polish.....Hot Rims

Close up of polished wheels

One more.....I couldn't stop looking at them all night.

Side of the truck polished out. Scratches on the door are still there but they are VERY dull. I did not have any Uni-Grit with me to sand them out.

The reason that I couldn't move the PC all the way across the area I was buffing. I think she wanted to go for a swim.

Hood with a good reflection of the house.

Close up of paint. Im not a pro with the camera at all.

A good shot of the metal flake in the paint.

All finished up...

A few pictures with Boston in the background.

Thanks for viewing. Its been a long time since Ive done one of these so any comments will be a help for the next writeup.
