2005 Buick Rendezvous, exterior

Hey fellow MOLers,
Today I got to work on the exterior of the Buick Rendezvous that I did the interior of last week. http://meguiarsonline.com/forums/showthread.php?t=25566

With my partner in crime, Jeff (KerrinJeff) this is what we did:

Products used:
Gold Class Wash
Clay (blue), QD for lubricant
D151....aaahhhhh the glory!!
NXT 1.0
Flex (my new toy) w, LC white
Vector Rotary w, LC white
Porter Cable DA
Endurance Tire Gel
Our own brand of sweat and elbow grease (>90deg at 6:30am)

I had never heard of claying the windows, but Jeff believed in it. I agree! This is just with clay, no window cleaner. I am amazed.


Post D151 and NXT 1.0, headlights and taillights done with 151 too

Just when I thought I was good to go on supplies, Mike has to go and get a Flex which of course I will now have to get! Thanks Mike! (Mike blames Bri).

This was the most physically grueling detail to date because of the heat and humidity, but the end results were fantastic and the owners were very happy. This Buick was very well cared for and it didn't look like we had much room to improve...but then 151 did it's magic We had a great time doing it and 4 hours passed by very quickly.

We just can't say enough great things about 151, it does it all and does it very very well!

guys! Great reflection shots. D151 is really a versatile product which I also like.

Just out of curiosity, any gumming issue when you used it on the Rotary+white pads?

No gumming whatsoever on the Rotary - Mike can speak to the Flex. I was using a cross-cut pad and didn't have to clean it once.

I kept mine clean (every 4 applications) because I'm OCD, not because it was gumming up. Lovin' the Flex!!!!

Great transformation guys. The Rendezvous looks so good. Great work.

I am also a big believer of claying the glass. Everything looks great .

When I saw the tags with the cactus I thought "that had to be grueling." I'll have to give clay a try on the glass.

Did you guys dress the lower textured black plastic trim.

oh yeah, forgot. We used Trim Detailer on all black plastic. The black between the windows and around the lift gate your 151 and NXT.
