Ok, first off I want to say I spent around 45min typing up a thread on saturday. I clicked on "preview post," read over everything making sure I didnt word anything wrong, then closed the window out!!!

Ive been putting off doing a full polish on my Jeep but finally got around to doing it. Im kinda ashamed that I hadn't done it sooner but I guess its better late then never. I was/am not looking to remove 100% of the swirls but just to take out the minor swirls and scratches. Some people may know that I use to take my Jeep offroad regularly so there are some mild scratches on the sides which did not come out but thats ok, Im kinda proud of them.
I started out with a wash using Megs GC soap. I didnt wash the engine or underbody since it really didnt need it but I will be going over the engine with MF's to remove some minor dust then give it a coat of hyper dressing.
So far Ive been claying, polishing with #80 once via PC with a LC white pad, then hand applying a coat of NXTv2. Its pretty amazing how easy it is to remove the swirls with the PC and #80. Its taken me around 3 hours to do the hood and entire drivers side which includes claying and taping off. I hand applied scratch-x on the entire front end(bumper, grill, etc) since working with a pc on those parts is impractical on my Jeep. I have not polished or waxed the front end yet but I will do that tomorrow. Tried some scratch-x on the headlights, park lights, and fogs lights and was pretty amazed how good it did on them. I have plastix on hand but wanted to see how that would go.
Here are some before pics. I tried my best to capture the swirls but its kinda hard to do in a garage.

The worst of the swirls were around the door handles since the brush gathers up around them.

I believe this is the C pillar. The pillars and the area above the doors were really where I wanted to make sure the swirls were removed. When walking up to the Jeep thats usually face level and they always annoyed me.

I was having some troubles with #80 gumming up on me and Ive yet to figure out whats going on. Idk if Im not using enough product or what. When I did the hood I tried speed #6 which immediately made it start gumming but on the entire drivers side I kept it on 5 which seemed to reduce it but it still throws it everywhere, especially on the plastic bumpers. I found out real quick that setting those 1000watt craftsmen lights to close to the paint actually heats the paint up a lot! I thought that may also have something to do with it.
Another problem I had was #80 NOT coming off my rear bumper cap. This was the area that was sitting close to the lights but it was only warm, I could easily hold my hand on it. At first I tried running the PC over it again then taking the #80 back off immediately but that did nothing(FYI, I never let #80 dry). Claying nor QD would touch it but if I swiped it fairly hard it would come off. Sorry for the blurry pics, it focused on the lights.

Scratch-x ended up bring it off.

The hood has some mild water spotting which I am not interested in removing. I guess sitting around in a dorm parking lot for 2 years got the best of it. I also made a boo boo on the hood. I was moving the PC around to spread the product out before I turned it on when the side of the pad caught which pulled the pc out of my hands.
You can see the water spots too.

Some afters of the hood, I didnt get any befores of it.

Ive not got a good reflection shot of in the paint yet since Ive not pulled it out in the sun since I polished some of it, but here is a reflection in the glass... In the midst of polishing.

Ill be finishing the rest tomorrow and through-out the rest of the week. Pics of it all finished out of the sun will come later.
