  • HSV VY Clubsport Gen T Detail..

I got the Job of detailing this Beatufully presented car on saturday.

After finally convincing Martin Donnon to letting me get my hands on it, i statrted to get to work
The paint is pretty scratched and swirly, a lot of correction was needed

i proceeded to wash it thoughorly, making sure all grime etc was off it.

    Then Chamois

The paint had a fair bit over overspay and contaminants all over the paint, so clay barred it was

Preparation is the key to a good polish job, so masking up the rubbers is parramount, to prevent burning.

Various cutting compounds, polishes, sealants, waxes are used throughout the process (all Meguiars top quality) combined with various grades or buffing pads and equipment.

    Here are the results

A process that started at 10am, and completed at 5pm, lets just say i was pretty stuffed after that

    What do u think??

The car looks great. You did a nice job of removing thoes swirls. What was your process? (pads, compounds and polishes)

Well actually i forgot my little attatchment for the wool pad to the buffer.. so i used the red cutting pad with #85.

Then after that i used the swirl remover 2.0 with W8000 pad.

same pad with #66 quick detailer after that..

then some show car glaze with a 3m waffle pad, nd then sealed with the silicon sealant..

im yet to hand wax it as i ran out of time, but ill give it a couple of coats with NXT gen wax.

Nice job.. That thing must fly with that monster turbo under the hood.
If its fast, loud, and runs on a flammable liquid...count me in.
