  • BIGGGGGGGGGG project

Not my first wet sanding project, but first on my own vehicles... EEK

I am a clean freak when it comes to my car, my wifes jeep is another story...LOL.
Had some rock chips and was fed up looking at them, so here we go.
Process took about 4 hours, 24 hours total during paint drying time

Fill chips, dry, let paper soak over night 2500 wet dry and 3000 wet dry
    clean area before beginning
start the sloooooooooowwwwwwwww process of wet sanding and then... more wet sanding

    Then to the fun part

    Wool Pad and 105
Then to foam pads blah blah blah

    and heres after glaze

LOOKS 1000% better and I can actually peek under the cover and not want to throw up seeing the chips

Beautiful GT! Nice work on chip repair... I need to learn some of that myself. Only issue is I have no rotary, and to be honest... I'm scared of what can happen!

Nice job. The look after wetsanding and polising, cannot be beat!
If its fast, loud, and runs on a flammable liquid...count me in.

                  looks good!

question: after wetsanding, what would you use that you can find in just a regular auto parts store, I dont really want to buy any 105, because it's a little pricey, and I'd hardly ever use it. I've got a lot of little rock chips and places where they had been filled in before (not so great job).

Here's a link to ADS if you wanted to try it, they've got a 12oz sampler for $9.99 if a full bottle is too big.
