  • NXT Metal Polish topped with NXT Wax

just finished detailing my wheels (approx. 1 hour per wheel start to finish) for a Mustang national show next week. I started with washing (NXT wash), dry and polish with NXT metal polish and a cotton buffing wheel on my drill, followed by NXT Tech Wax on the polished as well as the painted casting. The finish is extremely smooth! I'm hoping this will minimize the brake dust I'm sure to pick up enroute to the MCA show in Springfield Illinois (350+ miles). My goal is to get to the show and rinse the wheels to remove any dust.

This appears to be a great combo! The polish brings out an extremely deep shine to billet and the tech wax offers some protection.

    Another shot

Here's another. By the way, thanks Mike Phillips for the instructions on posting pics...works like a charm.

Looks good! Like the color, I was going to buy a Lightning with the same color (Dark Shadow Gray?) but the dealer would not deal on it. So I bought my black one from somewhere else at a much better price.

gb: what a reverse!....I was looking for a Black Mach and the dealer didn't have one so I got the Dark Shadow Gray. Also, black looks awesome when it's clean (about 1 day..LOL).

Your rims come out great, and the whole stang looks killer.

Mind if I borrow your little doggy idea??

Desertdawg: no problem...I saw this at the Mustang 40th in Nashville on another Mach 1. I found it on E-Bay (the world's garage sale) for $15.

I'll see if I can find the direct link and post it or pm you. It was called Pup-Pee Jack Russell I think.

It's a hit at car shows...puts a grin on a lot of faces Funny thing was when I received it and took it out of the UPS box, my 2 female pitbulls got a "tad" guarded...raised hair, circled the doggone thing for a couple of minutes...I nearly fell over laughing.

I found mine at Home Depot in the drill/sander section. Had to look a bit because most of the display was 3" and 4" cotton wheels.
