Thanks to all of you I have successfully completed a full exterior detail on my recently purchased 2006 Nissan 350z. I first asked for help about 2 weeks ago in this thread:
With your help I accomplished the following:
Before Shots first:
Prep Work:
Hard to tell but the left is complete and right is untouched. Damn cobwebs!
After Pics:
Reflection shot of my buddies S2k:
Polished Nismo Pipes:
Beauty Shots:
Love this one:
Products used:
Meguiars: Deep Crystal Car Wash
Meguiars: Smooth Surface Clay Kit
Meguiars: G110 Dual Action Polisher
Meguiars: Soft Buff Foam Pad 8006
Meguiars: Speed Glaze Polish
Meguiars: NXT Tech Wax 2.0
Eagle One: Never Dull Wadding Polish
Sorry Mike, I tried to follow your post as close as possible but bad lighting forced me to do otherwise:
Tips for how to correctly take pictures to document an Extreme Makeover
All in all I like the outcome however I think its obvious that I will need to use a more aggressive Compound / Pad to get those spider webs out. I didn't see much difference at all regarding the scratches using #80 and a 8006 pad but it really brought out the metallic in the paint.
Thanks again for all of your help hopefully next time I will be able to get those scratches out.
