This is my '02 Oldsmobile Intrigue. I was finally able to do a full detail on it this weekend. The process took me two days (all by hand) but the car has never looked so good. I've always taken good care of it so I didn't have much to correct and my car fortunately has never had swirl marks. My wife's van is another story as some of you may know from my other posts. The van is a "work in progress". Anyway, here is the process I embarked upon this weekend and the products used.

    Wash & Dry:
-Gold Class Wash Shampoo & Conditioner
    -Sheepskin mitt
-2 bucket method with Grit Guards
-Dried with The Absorber and Armor-All waffle weave drying cloth

    Paint:
-Clayed the horizontal surfaces with Smooth Surface Clay Kit
    -DC1 Paint Cleaner
-ScrathX on a couple of tough spots
    -DC2 Polish
-NXT wax 2.0 (I only had time for one coat)
    -Maintain with UQD

    Tires:
    -Cleaned with Westley's Bleche-Wite
    -Dressed with Endurance tire gel

    Wheels (clear-coated):
-Sprayed/soaked with Hot Rims all wheel cleaner
-Washed with Gold Class Wash Shampoo & Conditioner
    -DC1 Paint Cleaner
    -DC2 Polish
    -NXT wax 2.0

    Glass:
-Clayed the windshield with Smooth Surface Clay Kit
    -NXT Glass Cleaner
-Waxed the windshield with NXT wax 2.0 (I ususally use Rain-X but I decided to give the NXT 2.0 a try)

    Exterior black vinyl & rubber:
    -Gold Class Trim Detailer

    Interior:
    -#40 Vinyl & Rubber cleaner/conditioner
    -One Step Leather Care
    -Car Odor Eliminator

    Headlights, Tailights, Foglights:
-PlastX (I'm very impressed with this product!)

Good job. Paint looks glossy. 2 days by hand! reminds me of my younger days where I started also by hand.

                  Re: Intrigue

Thanks everyone! Your comments and praise means more than you know. It didn't need to take two days - I just had to split it up because we had other things going on during the weekend. I would say it probably took a total of 9 hours.

It was a big job - I filled up a laundry basket with my cloths, wipes, applicator pads, etc. Now I truly know you can never have enough microfibers.

You can't tell in the photos but the wheels impressed me more than anything. After that whole process they now shine with a beautiful silver metallic/metal flake appearance and I swear I have never seen that before in my wheels. I was blown away.

I'm with you 3Fitty....I love Mondays on this site too!!

I knew that tire dressing had to be Endurance! Hyper dressing doesn't give me the gloss I want, and is gone in just a couple of days!

My arm? Oh no, my friend...the whole body aches! Next weekend I may do it all over again on the minivan. Two days may not be enough for that job.

Yes supercharged, I've been using Endurance for many many years. I've tried other products but kept coming back to Endurance. It really does last for weeks as it states on the bottle and I love the look of it. I don't really care for the high-gloss shine of some products.

LOL....yeah it's not like it was when we were 16. I used to be able to work 10-14 hour days 6-7 days a week and not be sore at all.
