  • Detailed the Daily Driver

I finally got around to detailing the daily driver. She is 10 years old w/107,000+ miles. There are some parking lot dings & some rock chips but without a lot of work I have decided this is as good as it is going to get. Except for the above mentioned defects the paint still looks really good. Until today all I have ever done is wash & wax her. Until 5 months ago when I started reading this forum, I didn't know I could do anything else.
    Process:
    Wash: GC
    Clay: Megs Smooth Surface
    Condition: M80 w/G100
    Wax: #26
Engine compartment (my first time): Simply Green (4:1) & #40 (for 10 years old & 107,000+ miles I thought the EC came out pretty good for my first time).
Sorry I didn't get any before pics, but I did get some afters. Thanks for looking.

I see that I'm not the only one that invests the time on their old DD.
