Well, I got a call last week to detail a Toyota Sequoia and a Mercury Grand Marquis for a new customer.
So, I arrived and found both vehicles to be in somewhat decent shape.
Starting with the Sequoia...
The Sequoia was in white, which made it a bit easier. The problem is that it had some swirls here and there. Plus, there was some staining.
-Washed and Clayed
-M83 and W8006 polishing pad on rotary
-NXT 2.0 W8006 polishing pad on PC
-#40 on interior
-Detailer Glass Cleaner
-GC Step 2 Leather Conditioner
This is a perfect examply of why everyone should do a test spot. I found that #83 and a polishing pad on the rotary worked perfect for swirl removal. And, it removed the staining. See the box taped out for the test spot?

Next, the Grand Marquis...
Surprisingly, this just had some light swirls. But, there were random scrapes everywhere.
-Washed and Clayed
-M86 and Solo light cut wool pad on rotary
-NXT 2.0 with W8006 polishing pad on PC
-#40 on interior pieces
-Detailer Glass Cleaner
-GC Step 2 Leather Conditioner
Yes, I know, Solo is meant for fresh paint. But, it worked very well on these scratches. It only took one pass on each spot to achieve acceptable results.

This scratch went the entire length of the car. So1o and a light cut wool pad worked perfectly. See where I stopped working on the scratch?

Overall, the details went pretty well. It was sunny outside, so I ended up with the first sunburns of the season...
The most important thing was that the customer was thrilled. He loved how the Sequioa just 'popped' in the sunlight.
