  • Detail: 2007 Toyota Prado

This is a Toyota Prado, was bought a year ago and the owner wanted it detailed because it hasn't been detailed since then.

The owner requested the removal of the isolated scratches done by poor washing methods and he didn't want the swirls completely remove because of it's his daily driver and he really doesn't care.

    Process
    Exterior
Wash w/ Meguiar's Gold Class Shampoo & Conditioner
    Dried w/ Water Magnet
Paint Correction w/ Meguiar's Speed Glaze #80 (2 passes in some parts)
    Waxed w/ Meguiar's NXT Tech Wax 2.0

The swirls removal was done by 90% and the isolated scratches were removed completely

    Interior
    Leather cleaned with APC (10:1)
Rubber and Vinyl cleaned and treated w/ Meguiar's Vinyl & Rubber Cleaner Conditioner

    Before

    After

Some of the remaining swirls, it wasn't a complete removal of defects detail

    Thanks for looking

Looks really good to me! You can hardly see any swirls at all in the afters.

Yeap, they come in both version but this one was a turbo diesel (3.0 4V), same chasis as the Toyota 4Runner just more elegant

Looks great. The Prado is also quite popular around here.

Hows the workability of the paint (soft/mod/hard) ?

                Again, great work

It's moderate, it wasn't something that I was looking for perfection but in most cases one pass of #80 did enough for the job, in some other places I had to do two passes.

Nice job, looks so much better now. Here that is called a Land Cruiser.

Toyota Land Cruiser is not the Toyota Prado.
Two different chassis, two different vehicles.

Toyota Prado is a more luxury vehicle than the 4Runner but with the same chassis. Land Cruiser, we have them here and they are bigger, Toyota Land Cruiser is like the same size as the Lexus LX430

Very nice job. Looks like most of the swirls are gone.
If its fast, loud, and runs on a flammable liquid...count me in.

Very nice work! Cool pictures and reflections as well: in particular, I like the first reflection shot with the building in it. Thanks for sharing!
