hey everyone,
This was my first detail of the new year. This vehicle use to be my wife's until we sold it to her Aunt last summer. It is a 2005 Ford Freestar Van. I did not take any before pictures due to the fact that the silver color really does not show much. This was a full interior/exterior/engine detail. I started by washing the vehicle with Hyper Wash, I then when to the engine using super degreaser and dressing it with Water Based Dressing, Interior got APC plus and was extracted with my durrmaid extractor. The interior was not really to bad mostly light daily dirt, the exterior got 80 via g-100 and a 8006 pad then 21 via g-100 with a 9006 pad.I wanted to see how the water based dressing would look on the engine plastics and I think it really turned out nice. As everyone knows silver is a hard color to make look really good but the van turned out very good. I also used water based dressing in the wheel wells and All season dressing on the tires and lower black plastic trim. The wiper well trim, grill, and rear bumper trim got Accent Coating.
Engine Berfore:

I used Super Degreaser at a Ratio of 4:1 with a Meguiar's Foaming spray head. I let it sit for a few minutes to let the degreaser do its handy work and then hosed out the engine bay with lite water pressure.
Engine After:

I sprayed the Engine down with a fairly heavy dose of Water Based Dressing let it sit for about 15 minutes and then wiped up any product that was puddling to try and prevent any kind of spotting.
These photos are during the polishing stage in which I used the g-100, 80 Speed Glaze and a 8006 pad to polish out the paint.

These last photos are of the finished product. 21 was used to seal in the shine and add some reflection. As stated earlier silver is a hard color to get to really show its stuff, butt from the pics I was able to get some fairly nice reflections out of this color.
Afters:

This last photo is the best reflection shot of them all.
Any and all comments welcome.
