I'm diggin' this car. It is quick, quiet, comfortable, and handles like a barge on rails. It reminds me most of my old '65 Sedan Deville; overboosted power steering, lots of room, huge horsepower, quiet and isolated, and stuffed with options.
The detail was a mix of old and new; I still love my #40 for interior, and I'll keep using it until I can no longer get it.
I washed using 2-bucket Grit Guard, lamb's wool mitts, and Gold Class soap, which is still my preferred wash soap; better than #66, NXT, #00, and DC. I clayed with the Quick Clay Kit, which you might note is a better value than the Mother's clay kit; Meg's gives you 25% more clay and a microfiber towel!
The protection is provided by NXT 2.0. I was really, really tempted to use the DC Cleaner Wax that came with the Quick Clay, but I resisted the urge! Since the car is only 170 miles old, there was no point in removing any paint. The kids at the dealership had done a good job; it was swirl free when I took delivery.
Tires are done with what seems to be a neglected product in these parts, #38. #38 is a little bit difficult to use compared to the popular sprays, but it has an advantage in that it is a thick gel, which spreads easily and dries quickly. #38 gives a clean, matte look and doesn't sling.
Glass was cleaned with D-12001 Glass Cleaner, an outstanding product if there ever was one! I remember MP saying that this was his foot-in-the-door product when he was in sales, and it is easy to see why! There isn't a better glass cleaner available commercially, anywhere, IMO.
Pictures were shot with a Canon G9, edited and resized using GIMP. The editing was adjusting white balance a little bit and bringing up some color on some shots, but otherwise the pictures accurately reflect the results. Unfortunately the beautiful sunshine that we started the day with abandoned me when it came time to document the results! Silver can really POP!, but you need to have the light cooperating if you want to capture it in a photograph...

Got the colors a little too high in that last one.....
