Very nice job. I also did a X type Jag the same way sing yellow pads.all scratches cause by snow brushes came off and even deeper scratches came out so easily, but the clear was soft. On my Mazda5 i tried the same but the bigger scratches didn t disappered. But what a shine. I converted 4 people to Meguiars since they tried the 105

      Re: G110 + 105 + + 21 2.0 + Black Car = Show Car Finish

I've now seen half a dozen positive reviews of Meguiars M105 using a random orbital polisher.

One neutral review where his paint was left heavily marred as it was soft paint. But was perfect after using a finer polish. The finer polish wouldn't have removed the defects anyway so marring the surface was acceptable to remove the defects.

Anything from a light cutting to a finishing pad works well. The majority of people have used Lake country 5.5inch orange pads where are about half way between the meguiars polishing and cutting pads. The smaller size also makes the buffer work harder.

      Seems to work quite well.

Its as if Meguiars doesn't reccomend M105 with a G110 polisher because that polisher is often regarded a beginners first step to machine polishing. Having such a strong compound available may cause a few accidents even though M105 works near perfect with a G110.

By reccomending it for rotary buffers is somewhat safe as most rotary users are experienced and know not to use such a strong compound.

So is it because M105 doesn't work with a random orbital polisher or is it because they dont want such a strong compound to be within reach of a beginners machine that in the hands of a beginner could damage the paint?

Clean cars get better gas mileage. It's proven. You can't argue with science.

I had/have alot of imprefections in my new, self-painted, Elky and I was using M84 and M's
Red foam pad......thought usin the M105 could give me better results at smoothing out the surface....bought some.....using my G110 I spread it at 3, then went to 5, BUT could NOT get it to "flash" [buff off] and then had a HARD time even getting it off by hand....ended up using M84 to get the M105 OFF. I tried like 1.5x1.5' then 18"x18".
I never took my G110 to speed 6 on it - should have I guess.

After reading this success story - may try again....I was thinking that for me - I had just wasted MORE money.

            BUFF on!, Michael

I love 105 with my G110. The biggest thing I had to learn to do was STOP! You do not have to work this product, say like, #80. 2 passes and if it's gonna work you're done already. I use the LC 5.5 low pro pads. Gumming can be an issue but just use less product and a QD ( I love Last Touch) to lube the pad. Keep it clean on the fly too.

I now know of 10+ detailers who use 105 with a DA. Some were rotary users for years and now only use this combo! When D-151 Paint Reconditioning Cream comes out, there's you mar removing LSP stage!

I think the crazy thing which Justin just started touching on, if D151 proves to be a somewhat durable sealant.... Talk about the innovation Meguiars has reached...

They could have potentially taken a 4 step process:

                Compound
                Polish
                Finishing Polish
                Wax/Sealant

Into a two step process... M105 followed by D151 you just did the entire process.

I can't wait to try both products!

Or, if that paint isn't in that bad of condition, D151 will take a 3 step process down to 1!

So Justin the G110 is a great buy. It has more torque than the 7424? Whatabout the Flex dual-action? Is it even better than G110. I m about to buy the Fex but if the G110 does the same thing i ll keep on Meguiars
