  • Spring Cleanup: 2006 Cobalt

The weather had finally started to turn for a more permanent spring like weather, which takes way too long in SW Ohio. So, I had the day to myself and I figured I'd get my car cleaned up. It wasn't anything *extreme*, but I'm proud of my work.

    Steps taken:

    Exterior:
Spray, drink water. Spray, fill bucket. Spray.
Wash with NXT wash, then dry
Wheels, Tires, wheel wells with APC and brush. wheels got hot shine.
    83 via PC and 8006
    66 via PC and 8006

    Interior:
APC and then quik detailer on non upholstery
APC and passionate scrubbing plus vac on upholstery

    Befores:

Funny how when rear ended, a 14,000 dollar car just gets this, but the 45000 dollar BMW loses a piece of itself in the street

    Just after wash:

    Inside, horrid!

    Test panel:

    AFTERS:

Not totally gone, but markedly better!

    Much better!

Cheap GM plastic interior parts clean up with APC as well!

    Shiny Shiny

Engine bay after APC and then Hyper Dressing 2:1

From one Cobalt owner (and Meguiar's user) to another, looks great! Now I need to do the same to mine!

Great job! I'm not a big fan of Cobalts, but this one is teasing me! Love that blue color!

                    Re: Spring Cleanup: 2006 Cobalt

Cobalt isn't my first choice in car, but with the Yukon getting 16-17mpg, a Cobalt looks like a good choice.

Great color and very nice job on the car.

A buddy at work just bought a G5 (Cobalt in Pontiac form) and I believe his is the same color. Told him I need to polish it for him. He said he's saving money and he'll let me do it. I told him I'm easy but not cheap! Then I told him to find a wrecked Cobalt SS and put the motor in it, talk about a sleeper car.

                    Good show.
