  • Detailed: 2008 Range Rover HSE

This vehicle is actually owned by new neighbor. I've been meaning to introduce myself over the last month but detailing and my kid's ball games have kept me pretty busy. It was by mistake that we met. They were on a walk and our dogs met up and we met. The owner runs a Christian school locally and they needed to have their vehicle done the NEXT DAY!!! They were picking up a pro football player for a speaking. I called some of my scheduled appointments and worked this new one in.

    Here's the process..........

    Engine Bay:
Degreased with Purple Power 1:1 and pressure washed. While wet, tire foam (off brand) was sprayed onto the engine. Hood closed, engine started, and left to bake while I did the wheels.

    Wheels, Tires, and Wells:
Wheel Brightener at 4:1 was used TWICE on these wheels. Come to find out that this vehicle was bought six months ago and that's when it was last washed! Purple Power at 1:1 was used on the tires and wells. I spent 30 minutes on just the wheels and tires. Tires were protected by Pinnacle's Black Onyx tire gel. Wells with No-Touch Wet n Protect.

    Wash Process:
After pressure washing the debris off the paint, I pre treate the front end and lower panels with Simple Green at 10:1 ratio. This sat for 5 minutes. I then foamed NXT Tech Wash over the paint. This sat for 5 more minutes. I then spent another 30 minutes washing the paint. This was one of the toughest washes I've done in almost three years.

    Paint Polishing:
    (Meguiar's #83 via G110 & LC Black Finishing Pad)
I guess to the lack of washing, the paint was in really awesome condition.Very minimal swirling and no scratches. #83 took care of these and thoroughly cleaned the paint. #83 is a breeze to work with and G110 compliments it well.

    Paint Protection:
(Meguiar's NXT 2.0 via G110 & LC Red LSP Pad)
I put on a coat of NXT and let it sit while I finishing the interio.....approx. 30 minutes. I then came right back over the top of it with another coat of NXT. You read right. I did not remove the first coat. Just trying something different. I then let the second coat sit while I did the tires and windows. I removed it with UQD. Just simply an awesome finish........even on white!

    Interior:
All surfaces were cleaned with Simple Green at 20:1. Leather was conditioned with Wolfgang's Leather Conditioning Lotion. All vinyl and plastics received Pinnacle's Protectant.

None at all.......unless 10 weeks durability is a problem. I think it helps and it awesome on glass.

Thanks for the compliments. My neighbor does have one very nice house. I think the lot went for 5 million........without the house!

Nice job on the Rover. Those cars have my favorite interior of any car on the road.

Great job Justin. For me Range Rovers are a little tougher to detail then they look. Not sure why. Awesome house too.

Fantastic result!! The Rover looks as it should look all the time. I do not really understand people who spend quite a lot of money on a car and then do not care for it at all. But maybe I'm over reacting.
