  • My First Interior Job

    Hiya
I have had ago this weekend while the weather was nice to finally get round to cleaning mums car interior, the car used to be mine but this was pre detailing knowledge days, and therefore never really succeeded with it. Its a Ford Fiesta, 8 years old, with currently over 162,000 miles on. The stained seats have been like this since i had it 5 years ago. I tried nearly every interior cleaning product.
I now realise that spraying and agitating the dirt does no good unless the spray is sucked back up again (wet n dry vac style). I dont have a wet and dry vac, the next best thing a Rug Doctor i borrowed from work (had to do it soon as the contract with my work and the company is soon to be terminated). The interior cleaner was Rug Doctors Upholstery Cleaner and some APC as it always amazes me. My mum has had good comment from here regular passengers about how it looks and smells new, all i remember from my days with the car was how it every time i got in all i could smell was cigarettes.

Ok Befores: (sorry for the poor pictures)

They are all nearly like this

    During:

    After:

They are not perfect as the machine has isn't to easy with the round contours of the seats but they are hugely improved. Dash Plastics dressed with AG Rubber + Vinyl Care and applied with a Megs Sponge Applicator and buffed excess with a Microfibre.
Thanx For Reading Any Comments Welcome

Looks much better! Good job! Never would have thought about using a Rug Doctor but why not, and it looks like it worked good.

Awesome job on the interior. I use the upholstery attachment on our upright carpet spot cleaner all the time, takes a while to dry when it's cooler outside but works great. I don't use soap in the machine just spray some Meg's Quik Out on it and work it in then spray and extract it.

      Good show.

              Re: My First Interior Job

Thank your for your nice comments. I found it quite easy to use except the attachments head was quite wide and made corners a little tricky. It did such a good job that my dad used it on the sofa after i had done with the car.

              Thanx Christian

Looks like you've removed all signs of the fiesta that was thrown your mums Fiesta.

                    Good job!
