  • Winter Blues strike home

Yesterday I got horribly bored and got the detailing bug. Out came the G100, some QD, QID, #7, and NXT1 paste.

    And I polished our furniture.

We have a heavily laquered bedroom set, and I'm tired of all the kitty feet on it. I remembered that NXT makes it really easy to wipe kitty prints/fingerprints off of paint, so why not try it on the laquer.
Works like a charm, the only problem is that now the surface is so smooth that if you toss stuff onto it, it just slides...

Before (not too bad anyway, there's about .5mm of laquer):

    Afters:

    Ahhh winter.
If a tree falls in the forest and there's nobody there to record the event, how can you be certain that there was a tree or even a forest to begin with?

Turned out great! Careful setting stuff on it now, it might just slide right off.

    Nice avatar by the way.

Hold the mayo! Let me get my glasses on....

That's better, now I can see which is reflection and which is the real wall.

              Good show.

I can say I caught my wife using one of my MF towels and pledge! ha ha ha

Thanks for the good words guys...this winter just seems like it will never loosen its grip on us. It hit 38 today, which was enough to melt some snow off the driveway, and it's supposed to get into the 40s tomorrow. And then snow tuesday and wendsday, and then get cold again - back into the teens. When I build my house, I'll be having a heated garage on my list.
