well this is the first time i have posted any pictures of my car in here, so just a few after apply 9 different waxes and sealants for a wax trial i am doing.
no before pictures sorry, just different shots of all the different waxes








all comments appriciated, specially on the different panels ( btw the bonnet has 3 waxs on it, driver side to wash jet, pasenger side to washer jet and middle section ) I should ad that this car is a daily driver as well.

are they all on the hood, or throughout the whole car? i dont think thats fair because the front of the car gets the most abuse when it comes to weathering... thanks for the experiment though

cant say which waxes i am using at the moment as been part of a test the only person who knows will be me. I am doing full reports on each wax containg information such as how easy it was to apply, how well it beads as well as the most important durability question. The car will be wash every 2 weeks and each of the panels retested for wax presecne.

At the moment every panel excluding the bumpers and roof has a different wax applied to it. The hood\bonnet has 3 waces applied each side upto the washer jet and then the centre section.

All the results will be put into a report that will be made available in the first instanbce to the suppliers of the samples. The information will then be put on various websites for everybodys use.

The one thing i am not including in the report is what a wax "looks" like as this is such a subjective thing. Some people like the wet look, some the mirror look etc, and different coloured cars reponded to different waxes.

I am interested in any comments people have on the different panels if they have any panels they prefer over others.

Also if there is anyone stateside who could supply me some samples of common waxes i can use them in the same test i will do on the new landrover. So send me a PM and i will discuss the options with you

I have a question, don't you think that the different companies that make waxes already have tested it against their competition before launching it to the market?

I understand what your saying but i think you would be surprise as every manufacutor will say their wax is the best, and would they ever say if it wasnt. Also you could get a wax that looks excellant for shows but only lasts a couple of weeks.

The test also is designed to cover how easy waxes are to apply, how they smell etc, things that are important for amateurs.
