  • Oh my gosh! My Stang!

    Hi Folks,

Today was a holiday for me (didn't have to teach school) so I spent the day detailing my ride. My husband thinks I'm nuts. Anyhow....

I recently bought some new products to try: NXT Tech Wax (previously only used Gold Class and Quick Wax for touch ups), Gold Class All wheel Cleaner (previously used Turtle Wax F21), Meguiar's GC Trim detailer (previously used Armor All protectant wipes) and the new ULTIMATE WIPES! (previously used supreme shine micros and other assorted stuff). I also used for the firs time a Microfiber Soft Touch drying cloth, but wasn't as thrilled with it. I still prefer the water mags.

I'm SOOOOO happy! Especially with the Tech Wax combined with the Ulitmate wipes. It was like that scene in "The Jerk" when this old guy gets face cream smeared on him but when it's removed, Steve Martin is under there. As I was removing the wax, a different car appeared! I was shocked. And my car looked good before when I was using the GC wax.

Those Ultimate wipes removed the wax so easily and beautifully. If you haven't bought any yet, you should do it RIGHT NOW!

Here are a few photos. I live in a condo with underground parking so I had to take these later in the day as I was out doing errands.

Whole side view of the car.

    Back end view.

You can even see sparkles on the edges like in commercials! I did not touch this one up to look like this (though I did photoshop out my tag #).

Close up of the wheel and tire done with GC All Wheel and Hot Shine Gel.

Look at the parking lot refelct on my door!

See the palm tree reflected in my hood?

    Another palm tree here.

All this was done by hand. I would have done the interior too but it was 11:00 am by the time I was done with all this and it was getting hot as **** and I was sweating like a maniac. Perhaps sometime this week....

Very nice! I know you're in Florida so which store did you find the Trim Detailer at? I've been looking forever down here. The Mustang looks great.

Yeah, I can't find it anywhere. I ordered it and the ultimate wipes (and a few other things) from ADS last week.

Put in an order for over $100 and you can get a Meguiar's bag for free! Hubby freaked out when I said I wanted to order $100 worth of car detailing supplies...LOL! So alas, I did not get the free bag.

I'm curious to see how the trim detailer reacts when it rains. The Armor all stuff would kinda slither down the side of my door. Ugh!

Car looks great. I love the wheels - much better than the other wheels that Ford offers for the V6 Mustang.

Car looks great. awesome reflection in the paint. I have driven one of those new v-6 mustangs and they got great power to them and they don't sound that bad either they got a little rummble to them. nice job.
