  • Apollo Detailing: 2007 Porsche Cayman S

This vehicle was in excellent condition as the client had recently purchased it 2-4 weeks prior. I was lucky enough to be performing maintenance details since new.

Unfortunately, the week before it was schedule for a full detail, the owner had driven on a road that fresh-paved road and the lower half of the car was littered with road tar.

To complete the detail, I needed to use three-and-one-half bottles of solvent to remove the tar littering the lower half of the vehicle.

I began with a standard, two-bucket wash and followed up with a nice microfibre towel dry.

After claying with Megs and a re-wash, I proceeded to clean the paint using KAIO with the PC. At this point the owner walked by and asked if I was done. I smiled and told him "not quite yet" as I applied - by bare hand - a nice thick coat of Swissvax Saphir.

Excellent work, and is my favorite Porsche.

Try resizing your pictures to a max of about 700 to 800 pixels wide, that way you won't force your audience to horizontal scroll in order to see the rest of the picture.

We'll be watching all your future posts as you're sending up red flags.

Thank you for the tip. Mind if I ask what I did wrong to warrant being watched?

Let's just say we've been posting to the forum as long as anyone and longer than most and your flurry of new posts since joining are sending up red flags.

Enough that I'm getting e-mails and PM's about them.

Might be time to push away from the keyboard for the day.

Hah, I'm just procrastinating from the laundry I've got to take care of in my basement. That, and dishes .

                  Pardon?

Mike is being subtle, but the idea for you to push away from the keyboard is wise a one....

It never fails! Do a detail and it rains.
