A little background story: So I had an opportunity to work on this 1954 Ford F100. My coworker had worked on this for 8 years. This past two years, He's been putting it together piece by piece. When he got this truck, it was in pieces but this truck probably have more original parts than any other ones you see. He wanted a daily driver classic truck, so he built from the bottom up. Anyways, He finally finished it one day and decided to drive to work for us to check it out, and the first thing I saw was the $5k paint job he spent on it. It was full of swirls and holograms, so I opened my mouth and ask him if he would like to hire me. After some explanation about the condition of the paint, he decided that he would. So I'll let the pictures speak for itself.....
Before Shots:

Looks pretty good from this far.

You can see the holograms on the paint when the sun hits it directly.

So we set up for yesterday to work on the truck. He even set up the canopy for me when I got there. He pretty much left me along for about 4 hours while him and his wife went to a Saturday service so I had some time to do some quick test spots.

If you look closely, where my finger is, is where i had a masking tape going through the middle, so the area farther away is where i used the rotary and took out about 90% of the swirls.

Before Rotary. So I started after what I saw could be done. I like the way the door panel was reflecting so I stopped to take a quick photo.

After Rotary. Notice the flash from the camera became just a dot and not spread out like the previous picture.

All Buffed out!

I really liked this shot. The reflection of the garage and my rotary was actually better in person but the tailgate came out really good.

After PC w/#80 on W8006 Pad

Look at the reflection!

After Shots!

All Finished!

That's my coworker sitting in the corner there.

Can you believe all I did to this wheel was with Last Touch (at 1/4 ratio, was running out so I filled it with more water at half bottle) Tire was dressed with the STP Tire Foam.

My favorite picture! With a reflection of my new/used Tahoe!

I think my coworker was amused I can keep taking pictures of the same truck. haha..

There! 9.5 Hours later. All Done!
Here are the process:
Wipe down with Last Touch
Clay with Last Touch
Rotary w/#80 and W8006 pad at 1500rpm.
PC w/#80 and W8006 pad

StoneGuard Invisible Glass
Exterior Trim Detailer
Slick for final wipe down
Hope you guys enjoy as much as I did working on this truck. I had half a bun/no lunch going into this detail. haha. note to self, bring granola bars next time.
