I gave the badly swirled paintwork on my 2002 Civic Type R the treatment over the weekend. What I did is as follows:
Washed with GC Shampoo/Conditioner
Dried with water magnet towel
Clayed with Quick Clay
Re-washed
Polished with PC 7424, #80 and a Sonus medium cutting pad
Waxed with PC 7424, GC Liquid Wax and Sonus waxing pad
Using the combination of the Sonus medium cutting pad and #80 I managed to remove a large proportion of the swirls that were there. I will purchase #83 to get rid of the majority of remaining scratches soon. But the final result I am very pleased with. This was the first time I used my new PC and combined with the Meg's polish and wax the shine is much wetter and deeper than I have ever achieved by hand.

It's just a shame the light was pretty **** by the time I got the camera out.
