BMW 3er with #80, #21 und #16

    BMW 3er with #80, #21 und #16

    Last saturday I did a green metallic painted BMW of one of my friends.

    - plastics with Vinylex and Megs natural shine vinyl
    - NXT glass cleaner and Cobra glass towel
    - Megs Shampoo Plus, MF-mitt (2-Bucket)
    - Clayed
    - dried with Guzzler
    - #80, white LC Pad
    - Megs DC Step 2
    - Megs #21 (2x)
    - Megs #16
    - tires with Megs Hyper Dressing 1:4
    - engine: Megs super degreaser (1:10) and hyper dressing

      Nice job! I haven't seen one that color over here. Nice reflection pics too.

      I haven't had to use #80 yet (new vehicles) but I also use #21. I'm going to try #80 or #83 on an older white vehicle this weekend.

            Thanks a lot guys. My friend was very happy and drove the from my home away very carefully . Its a common color for BMWs in germany, but its not the ugliest color.

              What is #16? I can't find it on the products list. It's close in number to several of the plastic protectants.

                #16 is a wax that has been discontinued because of VOC problems.

                  #16 is Meguiar's Professional Paste Wax, which is discontinued in US, but I got 10 tins through a Canadian seller. You really got to try some of this stuff; I definitely notice a glossier and clearer paint surface after I applied it over 21. I am currently doing a comparison on water beading action between 16 and 21. And you know what, it seems the water never accumulates on the surface of area where I applied 16, as soon as the rain hits the surface, it slides off. So the next time when I clean my car, I am going to try some 16 on my windshield and see what happens in the rain.

                    The car looks great! I like that shot of the reflection on the door. =) I bet your friend is still driving it very carefully!
