  • BMW Z4 Detail

Well, this was my second detail with the PC *first was on silver, hard to see swirls/scratches* and I thought it came out pretty damn good.
    Washed with Meguiars NXT
Meguiars Clay on the boot lid and bonnet.
Meguiars 80 on speed 5 for the car, and
Meguiars 83 on speed 5 on the boot lid and bonnet
Followed with a coat of NXT. I have some 21, but I was really tired after this detail and didn't want to apply it.

Tires were done using some generic tire foam, and I used Meguiars APC 8:1 for the interior.

The last two are blurry, but it was getting dark out.

Looks great! As you can see only takes one use of a PC to get the hang of it!

    Excellent shot!

This is almost funny, but I understand why. Did you read the paper while you were detailing?

I can honestly say I read some, but I felt quite silly doing it. I didn't want to have to remove caked in polish from the top, so newspaper was the easy solution.

Yah but you cant expect results out of a PC everytime. Today I wish I knew how to use a rotary but then again a rotary would have killed the paint. I was doing my dads car which cant go through another detail ever again because his CC is too low. On top of that, the paint in the front and the back was harder than concrete. Still swirls everywhere. The sides are swirl free though

I did that the first time I detailed. Waste of my time. I find it faster to use some QD and clean everything up in a few min than spending hours and taping. But in this case, the roof was canvas. Any splatter at all would mean mayhem.

On a side note, nice work on the car. Like gb said it doesnt take that long to get the hang of it.
