    gb387,

Looks awesome! Hey I believe you can run your new avalanche on E85 fuel, I assume there are pleanty of ethanol pumps available in your neck of the woods. I'm watching patiently for the first public e85 pump in my area to go in (prob in the next 1-2 yrs.), I'm going to buy some kind of flex fuel vehicle to support the cause and be a patriot (when you fuel up on ethanol, the money goes into the pockets of local farmers, not the bad guys)

Any squabble with the dealer about washing the truck before taking delivery?
In all honesty I didn't mention to them that I didn't want it cleaned... I bought the truck in Minnesota and they had to transfer it from another dealer. I had already bought the truck and was waiting in the dealer for the transfer(it took much longer than they had thought), when they finally received the truck they gave it a quick wash in their scratch and rinse, pulled the plastic off the seats and dressed the tires, thats all they had time to do and I was OK with that. They wanted to send it to a detailer but I didn't have the time and really I didn't want them to, it was getting late and I had to head back to Iowa.

They did miss some grease on the interior but I cleaned that up no problem and I did find a small scratch on the drivers side rear door, I removed it with with no problem. It hadn't been on the lot too long so overall it was in good shape.

What engine did you get in it? I bet it gets better fuel mileage than the Lightning! I am still hoping for my truck to get past the 11 MPG one day! :eek

Yeah.... It was time for something to get around in the snow and haul more than one friend around.

This has the 5.3L and surprisingly it has plenty of pep(not as much as the Lightning) but much more than I had expected. I do get better gas mileage, right now I am at 15.something with mostly city driving, my Lightning in the city was getting 10-11. The Avalanche changes from V8 to V4 and back, the feature seems to work quite well very smooth transitions from time to time you can tell when it changes.

Use some APC on those pedals. Look filthy. Anyways you got rid of the Lightning for this? The Lightning was probably faster lol. Of course I wouldnt have either one because Im a toyota boy.
